MY PASSION IS TO HELP CREATIVE SOULS MANIFEST THEIR EXPERIENCES, DREAMS AND IDEAS INTO UNIQUELY DESIGNED CONCEPTS.
IT ALL STARTED WITH THE
"NO CHILD SLEEPS OUTSIDE" CAMPAIGN
My design career began as an in-house designer for a start-up advertising agency in Seattle, WA. One very cold Seattle Winter day, the agency and I were contracted by Mary’s Place (a non-profit whose mission is to protect and provide safe housing for homeless women, children & families) to design and advertise an online fundraising platform to raise money for an emergency homeless shelter in preparation for one of the coldest winters in the Pacific Northwest on record.
Our campaign, “No Child Sleeps Outside”, gained lots of publicity and attention from local media and companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, Boeing, Alaska Airlines, Starbucks, Comcast, The Seattle Times, and Bank of America, just to name a few.
With impactful design and strategical online marketing we raised over $2M in our first year which allowed Mary's Place to open up multiple new permanent shelters for Seattle's large homeless population, exceeding our goal of $300K.
Today, the NCSO campaign has exceed expectations raising over $4M in 2018 and continues to raise funds annually using my designs as their main branding.
WORKING FOR THE WORLD'S LARGEST ONLINE RETAILER:
Amazon was always a “dream job” of mine and when they approached me for a position within their team of designers, I gladly accepted. During my time at Amazon, I was able to hone my skills and adapt a better practice of my design process. I began my career at Amazon as a Production Designer creating visual branding and positive experiences for their viewers (including on-site graphics, logos, branding, global style guides, landing pages, illustrations, billboards, Kindle Ads, and apparel).

With an innovative strategy, I had the opportunity to pioneer a new layout for AmazonBooks’ homepage content. The new layout was a huge success and after its launch my role within the company began to reach to heights. Within my first year, my position shifted to Lead Designer for Amazon’s very first brick-and-mortar store, AmazonBooks.
While managing a team of designers and developers, I was directly responsible for all in-store signs, posters, book-rating cards, and quality assurance.
Today, Amazon has over 5 bookstores with many more opening up on the horizon and they are continuing to use my original designs.
In 2016, I chose to journey down an unconventional path and focus primarily on my own company, "Jess Right" Design - and I couldn't be happier about that decision! I've had the pleasure of working alongside an array of inspirational humans who have helped shaped my company into what it is today and continue to work with me on their upcoming projects. A thousand thanks to those who believe in me and the work that I do.
